There are 13 Company Program teams this year in Calgary. Teams are spread out all over the city as far north as Hamptons Co-op and as far south as Centennial High School, with lots in between.
All the teams are excited about the possibility to compete in Boston this summer and as a result there have been a lot of innovative product idea. Teams will be starting to develop company websites shortly so keep checking back to get an idea what your competition is up to!
JASACompanies.org is a website dedicated to showcasing and hosting websites for teams participating in Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta’s Company Program- A Student Venture.
European Company of the Year Competition (Summer 2008)
Three Company Program students from Calgary were invited to attend the 19th Annual European Compan of the Year Competition on Stockholm Sweden this past summer. 33 countries were represented at the 3 day competition. The Canadain students attended the competition along with 12 American students as observers to be able to tell people back home about the competition and to help prepare for the first NORTH AMERICAN COMPANY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION which will be held in Boston in 2009.
